When prince Trubetskoy took the management of granddad’s estate, the palace was hardly furnished. Prince ordered to demolish the walls, where owls have made their nests, and built a huge house with 30 rooms with all the improvements, needed for a cultured living.
1889In 1896 first vineyards have been planted in “Kazatskoye” and “Dalmatov” estates. In two years the total area of both vineyards reached 550 acres of pure culture without roads. Prince Lev Golitsyn made the selection of vines for both of them.
1896After being released on the market, wines from “Kazatskoye” and “Dalmatov” quickly won the appreciation of general public, as well as experts and wine lovers. At the very beginning wines were awarded “Grand-Prix” on the International exhibition in Paris in 1900.
1900In 1902 wines were awarded the first prize in 3000 rubles of the Emperor Alexander III “for the best Russian table grape wine”
1902In 1903 the exemplary culture of vineyards was awarded first prize of the Emperor Alexander III, and the grapes assortment of table and wine varieties were awarded two large gold medals on local exhibitions.

After 1917 “Prince P.N. Trubetskoy Winery” was transferred to state ownership and received name Lenin wine sovkhoz. It became the leader of winemaking of that time.
1917During the Soviet period the winery was awarded 33 gold and silver medals on the International exhibitions and wine tastings. The most popular and recognized wines, which became a hallmark of the country since 1949, still remain legendary vintage wines: “Oksamyt Ukrainy”, “Perlyna Stepu”, “Naddnipryanske”.
1949From 2004 to 2013 the complete reconstruction of winery has been carried out.
